Overview

What moved, and what it was

Inspectors gauge, sample and seal at the custody point, then hand the samples straight to the laboratory on the same site. No courier, no gap in the chain.

Every figure on a certificate traces back to a gauge reading, a temperature and a calibrated table that you can ask to see.

Included in an inspection

  • Shore tank gauging

Level, temperature and free water before and after each movement.

  • Vessel measurement

Ullage, OBQ / ROB and dry-tank certificates.

  • Line verification

Line and manifold condition checked before and after transfer.

  • Sampling

Running, spot or composite samples taken at the nominated point.

  • Seals and custody

Numbered seals recorded against the movement and countersigned.

  • Reports

Quantity certificates, time sheets and loss investigations.
