Overview

A working laboratory inside the fence line

The laboratory tests what the terminal moves: specification checks on receipt and before release, blend control, and umpire samples when two results disagree.

Results are entered against the sample reference, never retyped, and the certificate of analysis lists the method used for every property.

What the laboratory does

  • Specification testing

    Full and short suites against EN 590, DEF STAN 91-091 and ASTM D396.

  • Blend control

    Pre-blend calculation and post-blend confirmation.

  • Additive checks

    Additive and marker confirmation after injection.

  • Contamination

    Off-spec investigation and water or sediment checks.

  • Retained samples

    Samples kept for re-testing and released on instruction.

  • Certificates

    Certificates of analysis listing the method for every result.

    Running, spot or composite samples taken at the nominated point.

    Numbered seals recorded against the movement and countersigned.

    Analyse

    Tested on site and entered against the sample reference.

    Certificate of analysis issued; retention sample stored.
